There are a few rules that need to be followed in order to use this weblog:
- Only school-appropriate discussion or posts are permitted. Remember the weblog is closely monitored.
- Be polite, even when you disagree with someone’s opinion.
- Treat people with kindness, and remember that it is ok to have different opinions from each other.
- Keep your information private. Do not give out your real name or details about where you live. Only post your username.
- Stick with the assigned topics….this weblog is not a personal journal.
- Always give your best attempt at using correct grammar, punctuation, capitalization, and spelling. USE THE SPELLCHECK (it is a button that has ABC on it).
- Do NOT use all capital letters, EVER! The only time we put something in “all caps” is when we want to emphasize something – - short phrases or single words only. When you type anything on the Internet in all caps….YOU ARE SHOUTING AT EVERYONE!
- Do NOT change the size of the font unless it is for a single word or short phrase.
- Do NOT change the font to a different font or use bold for the whole post. Use bold and italics to emphasize a few words.
- Have fun, but remember that this is work and part of your academic learning…even when it doesn’t seem like it!
